WTF BIKE
West Coast Gravel
May 7, 2023
Built off the Oregon Coast Gravel Epic's success and the fantastic adventure the Oregon Coast delivers we are back for a second year in Yachats!
After a challenging 60 or 37 miles, the day before at the Oregon Coast Gravel Epic, this second day sits only 6 miles from Waldport south on the 101 to the fantastic community of Yachats, Oregon.Â
Having these two events close as far as drive time will allow more to book a stay in one area, minimize the effort, and maximize the fun and relaxing on the Oregon Coast!
Day two features the daunting Erik the Red loop with 57 miles and over 6500 ft, or choose the Leif Erikson route with 38 miles and just over 3000 ft of Climbing!Â
How much of day 1 is shared by day 2?Â
Yachats River Rd is shared for the outward and inbound section from Yachats plus 3 miles of tricky descending on your final gravel downhill!Â
Most of the terrain is new and has a thrilling twist that has seldom seen a bike tire on.Â
Please note that like all events at Aid 1 and the course split, you can size down your journey if you have signed up for the Erik the Red loop.Â
West Coast Gravel celebrates the explorer in all of us as you make your way to the shores of the Pacific and take on the Siuslaw National Forest's unforgettable backroads for a journey that would make Thor or Freyja proud!Â
